Information

Kansai Mini Pass is valid for unlimited travel in the valid area on the map
– Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST JR Lines such as the Kansai-Airport Rapid Service.

* A separate Limited Express ticket is required for the Kansai-Airport
Express “HARUKA” and other Limited Express trains.

* These trains below cannot be used:

– Bullet Train “TOKAIDO SHINKANSEN” (Shin-Osaka⇔Tokyo)

– Bullet Train “SANYO SHINKANSEN” (Shin-Osaka⇔Hakata)

Redemption Information

  • An E-Voucher will be sent to your email after booking confirmation
  • Present your E-Voucher and non-Japanese passport at ticket-vending machines or ticket reservation offices to redeem the physical ticket
  • Redemption Locations: Kansai Airport Station, Kyoto Station, Shin-Osaka Station, Osaka Station, Sannomiya Station (Kobe City), Nara Station

  • JR tickets operate under a registration system, with a very complicated booking process. Therefore, please ensure that you have provided the required information in order to make a purchase. Please bear in mind that H.I.S Travel Malaysia is not liable for any delays due to insufficient or incorrect information provided by travelers
  • Children require a child pass if occupying a seat in a reserved-seat carriage or traveling alone
  • Luggage Restrictions: passengers may bring up to two pieces of luggage, not including carry-ons and smaller bags. Each piece may not weigh more than 30kg and its length, width and depth may not add up to more than 250cm, while its length may not exceed 200cm

Steps on How to Redeem Exchange Order JR Pass in Japan

Purchase the Japan Rail Pass Exchange Order

To exchange your Japan Rail Pass Exchange Order for the actual Japan Rail Pass, you will need to follow these steps:
Arrive in Japan

Purchase the Japan Rail Pass Exchange Order: The Japan Rail Pass cannot be purchased directly in Japan. You need to buy an Exchange Order from an authorised sales office or an authorised travel agent before arriving in Japan.
Present your Exchange Order

Arrive in Japan: Once you arrive in Japan, locate a Japan Rail Pass Exchange Office. These offices are usually found in major airports, including Narita, Haneda, Kansai, and other major train stations.
Choose the validity period

Present your Exchange Order: When you visit the Japan Rail Pass Exchange Office, present your Exchange Order along with your passport. Make sure to have your passport with you, as it will be required for verification purposes.
Complete the application form

Choose the validity period: At the exchange office, you will be asked to choose the start date for your Japan Rail Pass. The pass can be activated on any day within 30 days of the exchange, but once activated, the validity period cannot be changed.

Receive your Japan Rail Pass
