Hailed because the “Intelligent Garden City,” Putrajaya is that the country' futuristic administrative capital.It is located in the Multimedia Super Corridor, approximately 25 km south of Kuala Lumpur and 20 km north of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The city includes a 400 meter man-made lake, aesthetically designed bridges, parks, wetlands, government offices and public services. Putrajaya is a symbol of Malaysia's dynamism and progress. Putrajaya was named in honour of the country's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.The word "Putra" means prince while "jaya" means excellence or success.
